Greene brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position at SISCO. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Maine, and his impressive career spans over two decades in the field of communication protocols. 

 

Over the past ten years, Greene has become widely recognized for his expertise in IEC 61850, a critical standard for power system protection, automation, and control. His contributions to the field have been substantial, and he has the privilege of being a co-editor of several core parts of the IEC 61850 standard, including -7-1, -7-2, and -8-1.  He leads the TISSUE process for maintaining the standard. His dedication to advancing industry standards has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of power system communication.

 

In addition to his work on the IEC 61850 standard, Greene has actively participated in important industry organizations, including the UCA International Users Group (UCAiug), where he chairs the 61850 Test Procedures Working Group.  He is the US Technical Advisor for IEC TC57. His commitment to fostering collaboration and maintaining the highest standards in the utility industry is a testament to his leadership and dedication.
