Arc Flash Blankets
Arc Flash blankets for electrical isolation of high voltage energized equipment and circuits (above 600 V ac or dc) are normally used to isolate workers from live contact surfaces. Safety blankets for electrical isolation are one of two acceptable, independent energy barriers that are required between all ungrounded conducting parts that extend from high-voltage energy sources or enclosures to areas or devices that are accessible to personnel. Safety blankets for electrical isolation may be used in lieu of one of the above energy barriers. and should meet the following criteria:
Compiles with ASTM D1048.
Available in Type 1 or Type II SALCOR
Available in:
High or low voltage styles
With or without eyelets
Hook and pile closure
Accessories Include
Blanket buttons
Magnetic blanket buttons
Ty-Straps
Clamp pins
Blanket canisters or blanket roll ups.
Switchboard Matting is permanently placed in front of switchgear, motor control centers and other high voltage apparatus. The matting is made from high quality Type II material tested to 20kV to comply with ASTM D178
Arc Suppression Blanket is used as a barrier for protection from explosive and incendiary effects of electrical arcs and flashes.
