Project Manager

MGE Underground is looking for a motivated Project Manager (PM) to join the team and take the lead on a variety of assigned projects. This position will be involved in all phases of the project cycle including estimating, scheduling, design, development, construction, billing and final acceptance. This is a key position to the team as it holds many responsibilities to secure profitable work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Create initial schedules, update and maintain weekly
•Coordinate with Superintendents regarding schedules, labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
•Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
•Measure job performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
•Ensure resource allocation and availability
•Perform risk management to minimize project risks
•Pre-field job site locations
•Generate submittals, shop drawings and maintain as-built drawings as required
•Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (RFIs, RFQs, CCOs, PCOs, etc.)
•Review and approve project-related documentation and reports (timecards, invoices etc.)
•Understand and ensure compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA standards
•Understand and follow Supplier Diversity requirements
•Manage the relationship with the client and stakeholders
•Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
•Learn and become proficient in Heavy Job Project Management Software
•Assist Safety Department by promoting safety on all projects, leading by example and conducting Loss Prevention Observations (LPOs)
•Participate in all required meetings
•Perform standby duties if required and other duties as prescribed during abnormal, emergency, or outage conditions (overtime may be required)

REQUIREMENTS:
•B.S. or higher degree in Construction Management/Engineering OR any combination of education and at least five (5) years of experience that demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform the work
•Previous Project Manager/Estimator experience is a plus
•Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record
•Must be able to pass the pre-employment drug screening and background check
•Ability to use a computer/smart phone/tablet
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook
