Electrician

We are looking for a skilled and experienced electrician to join our team. As a electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in commercial, and industrial settings. You will also be expected to follow safety standards and codes, troubleshoot problems, and mentor apprentice electricians.


To be a successful electrician, you should have a valid electrician license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least four years of experience in the field. You should also have excellent technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills. You should be able to work independently or as part of a team and be willing to travel to different job sites as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid electrician license in the state of North Carolina or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5- 7 years of experience as an electrician or completion of an apprenticeship program.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Ability to use various tools and equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, wire strippers, pliers, drills, etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in tight spaces, and at heights.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate with others.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites within the area.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, layout, and install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to blueprints, specifications, and codes.
  • Test, inspect, and repair electrical systems and equipment using various tools and instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and faults and provide solutions or recommendations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes and follow best practices and procedures.
  • Supervise, train, and guide apprentice electricians and helpers.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other trades, contractors, and clients.
  • Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documents related to electrical work.
