Mask Detection, Social Distance Monitoring, Occupancy Monitoring, and Sanitation Station Monitoring will help organizations get back to business amidst COVID-19
Ottawa, CANADA–May 14, 2020–Senstar, a world leader in video management software and perimeter intrusion detection solutions is pleased to introduce its new Safe Spaces video analytics solutions–Mask Detection, Social Distance Monitoring, Occupancy Monitoring, and Sanitation Station Monitoring.
“As the world begins to reopen amidst COVID-19, there are many unknowns about what our new normal will look like. However, it is very likely, at least in the short term, that face masks and physical distancing will be part of everyday life,” said Managing Director Fabien Haubert. “Safe Spaces video analytics facilitate reopening with confidence, and may help organizations meet public health requirements to keep employees, customers and the general public safe and protected.”
A free 60-day trial of the first edition of Safe Spaces will soon be available for both existing and new Senstar Symphony VMS customers. The analytics provide basic performance and require sufficient CPU capacity to run on existing servers.
Additional products and enhancements for solutions portfolio, including an edge platform with deep learning analytics will be available in the coming weeks. The platform will be both camera and VMS agnostic allowing the addition of the Safe Spaces analytics to any existing system.
SENSTAR INTRODUCES ENHANCED FIBERPATROL® FP1150
New capabilities include extended detection range, more application types and simplified per-meter licensing Ottawa,
CANADA–June 8, 2020–Senstar, a world leader in perimeter intrusion detection and video management solutions, is pleased to introduce enhancements to its FiberPatrol FP1150 fiber optic intrusion detection sensor.
“Initially launched in 2018, the FP1150 is a compact, rugged and highly integrated addition to Senstar’s FiberPatrol line,” said Product Manager Stewart Dewar. “Now with its extended detection range, support for a variety of deployment applications, and simplified per-meter licensing, the FiberPatrol FP1150 is a comprehensive, market-leading, multi-purpose intrusion detection solution for sites of all sizes.”
Originally designed for fence applications and offering intrusion detection coverage up to 10 km (6.2 mi) per processor, the FP1150 can now detect intrusions up to 80 km (49.7 mi) per processor for fence, wall-top and buried applications, and up to 100 km (62.1 mi) for pipeline and data conduit Third-Party Interference (TPI) detection. As well, to simplify planning and budgetary processes, Senstar has implemented a per-meter licensing model, allowing customers to license only the sensor coverage distance they require, but with the option to add additional coverage at any time.
Other enhancements to the FiberPatrl FP1150 include upgraded processing specifications (CPU, memory), software support for redundant sensor units, and sensor unit versions for backwards compatibility.
Senstar’s FiberPatrol fiber optic technology features low nuisance alarm rates, distinguishes between real threats and environmental disturbances, provides true detection of simultaneous events, offers cut immune configuration options, requires no power or data infrastructure in the field, is EMI and lightning immune, provides software configurable detection zones, and integrates with a wide variety of SMS/PSIM platforms.

SENSTAR COMPLETES INTEGRATION OF PERIMETER INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEMS
WITH GENETEC SECURITY CENTER
Ottawa, Canada – August 12, 2020 - Senstar, a world leader in perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS) and video management software (VMS) is pleased to announce its systems are now successfully integrated with Genetec’s Security Center via Senstar’s Network Manager software.
Network Manager provides the common software interface for monitoring and controlling Senstar perimeter sensors from VMS, SMS, and PSIM systems, and functions as a data server, which collects and distributes alarm point and control point status. Using Network Manager as the sensor interface, the Security Center integration allows sensor zone alarms to be monitored from the Security Center map and alarm monitoring screens, provides the means to trigger Security Center event-to-action programming, and supports arming/disarming individual zone alarms. Full sensor health status is displayed in Security Center and the ability to trigger sensor actions such as relay closures through Security Center event-to-action programming is supported.
“This integration allows users to optimally combine Senstar’s industry-leading perimeter intrusion detection systems with Genetec’s Security Center platform to provide unified management of their complete security environment.” said Senstar Product Manager Stewart Dewar. “This is a deep integration that enables users to take full advantage of all the features of Senstar intrusion detection systems from within the Security Center environment.”
Senstar sensors supported by the integration include OmniTrax® buried cable sensor, Senstar LM100™ hybrid perimeter intrusion detection and intelligent lighting system, FlexZone® fence sensor, FiberPatrol® FP1150 and FP400 fiber optic fence sensors, UltraWave™ microwave sensor, XField® electrostatic sensor, and UltraLink™ input and output modules.
