The Fault Wizard is used to locate failures (faults) in underground primary cable systems. The advantages are the light weight (50 lbs. or 23 kg), small size, low cost, and ease of use. The display shows a digital distance to the fault. The Fault Wizard can be used for pinpointing the fault by use of cycle thumping. It can also be used for quick power restoration by use on loop or radial systems. The Fault Wizard will ignore the transformers and give a distance to the fault. Therefore, the faulted section can be quickly identified and isolated.
