AFL's conductor accessories provide superior performance and reliability for electric power utilities and rail companies. Drawing on the experience gained from over 80 years designing and manufacturing accessory products, AFL's conductor accessories improve the reliability of critical electrical and optical infrastructure used for the transmission and distribution of electricity.

The conductor accessories facility has also built an impressive record of environmental stewardship with a recycling rate for paper, wood, metal and plastic exceeding 90 percent, an aggressive storm damage expedite program and a carbon footprint effort aimed at reducing total energy each year by three percent.

Tallman Equipment is an employee-owned company and has served the electrical transmission and distribution industry for over 70 years. We offer a comprehensive range of services to linemen, including new tool sales, rentals, ground and jumper set manufacturing, transformer sling production, and expert testing and repair.  

Tallman carries a wide selection of the best tools and equipment from the top brands in the utility industry.  

Our rental inventory includes stringing blocks, ground and jumper sets, battery powered cutting and crimping tools, fiberglass hot arms, hoists, dynamometers, rubber goods, and more.  

The Tallman Assembly Department custom-builds ground and jumper sets as well as performing dielectric testing and repair on used grounds and jumpers.  

Our rope department specializes in transformer sling assemblies as well as rope splicing and custom rope solutions.  

Our repair department services all tools commonly used in the utility industry including hydraulic, pneumatic, gas, and battery-powered equipment, stringing blocks, dynamometers, and mechanical hoists. 

Tallman offers complete repair and reconditioning of fiberglass tools, including hot sticks, conductor and support gins, ladders, extension arms, shotgun sticks, and more.  

The Tallman Rubber Lab cleans and performs dielectric testing on rubber gloves, blankets, sleeves, and other rubber goods and cover-up. All testing is done in accordance to ASTM standards.

Our Everlast® brand is in use on many of the fiber optic cables, pipelines, and distribution systems throughout the northern and southern hemisphere. It is a unique product that does not use ink to convey its message. In fact, our first customer, Delaware Electric Coop is still using the product to mark their poles today. 

Our Fasttag miniature cable marker product line has been used by the US military on its battleships, the energy industry to identify underwater cable and pipes on offshore oil rigs and many of the fiber optic cables of the cable industry.
