Great Southwestern has a long history in the successful management and construction of electrical substations and switchyards, within the most challenging of conditions and environments.We have constructed hundreds of high-voltage substations, switch stations and interconnect stations nationwide from 34.5kV to 500kV from the ground-up, in addition to extensive maintenance, expansion and rebuild work. We are skilled in performing substation work under Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) methods of project delivery. We have also constructed static var compensation systems and capacitor bank systems. We provide construction estimating and support, material ordering, tracking and expediting, foundation construction, steel erection, bus work installation, welding, power and control cable installation and finish rock.
