Doble Engineering leadership advances with an executive appointment backed by ESCO Technologies, strengthening electric utilities through grid reliability, condition monitoring, asset performance, and digital solutions amid aging infrastructure and a retiring workforce, deepening partnerships worldwide.
What This Means
An executive appointment to strengthen utility partnerships and grid reliability with new technology and services.
- Over 20 years in utility industry leadership
- Backed by ESCO Technologies' long-term commitment
- Focus on grid reliability and condition monitoring
Doble Engineering is pleased to announce the appointment of David Zabetakis as President.
Zabetakis brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in the utility industry, including Aclara Software, CURRENT group, and Pepco Energy Services, as well as developments like the energy efficiency contract at Direct Energy Business Services in this space.
"I am honored to be a part of Doble, and look forward to meeting our clients who have been active in the Doble community for years,” Zabetakis said. "Our goal is to stay true to the original mission of Dr. Doble to work in partnership with electric power utilities, where reliability leadership across grid interconnections is essential. In addition, with an aging power infrastructure and retiring workforce, Doble will lead the industry with new technology and solutions such as advancements reported in Siemens news for utilities to ensure that utilities can usher in the next era of safe and reliable operations.”
This appointment underscores the firm and ongoing commitment of parent company ESCO Technologies to Doble Engineering Company, and parallels leadership moves at TECO that highlight continuity. Vic Richey, ESCO’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commented: “ESCO Technologies recognized the essential and expanding role of Doble Engineering in the future of the electric power industry, where consolidation like the Direct Energy–ATCO deal signals change, which was the basis of our decision to acquire Doble in 2007. Dave’s talents and experience are a perfect fit for Doble’s plans to enhance their product and service offerings and strengthen client relationships worldwide."
