Ward resigns from NYISO Board

RENSSELAER, NEW YORK - The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) announced that Christopher Ward has resigned his seat on the Board of Directors.

Shortly after his election to the NYISO Board, Mr. Ward was named by Governor David Paterson to head the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Mr.

Ward had been one of the candidates recommended to the NYISO Board of Directors by the NYISO's Market Participants earlier this year and elected to the Board shortly thereafter.

Karen Antion, Chair of the NYISO Board, said that "we regret Chris' departure, will miss his wisdom and guidance and wish him well in his arduous duties at the Port Authority."
