| An electric arc lasts less than a second but its effects can last a lifetime. Protective Apparel made from DuPont Nomex® brand fibre is the benchmark by which all other flame and arc resistant clothing is measured. The flame resistance of DuPont Nomex® is inherent in the fibre, not the result of treatments that can wash off during laundering.
