There are several centres in Canada ready to serve all your power requirements. the Systems unit, located in St-Laurent (Québec), delivers total solutions for high voltage apparatus and transmission systems, HVDC reactive power compensation and power quality projects, reactive substation retrofits as well as power distribution solutions for medium voltage applications. The Pointe-Claire facility supplies medium and low-voltage switchgear, unit substations, dry and oil-type transformers as well as padmount transformers.

The Burlington facility offerings include systems design, integration and development: engineering; manufacturing and checkout; installation supervision; commissioning; operator training; and continuing field service for process control systems and instrumentation products.

The Lachine facility (Low Voltage) the one-stop shop for the supply and manufacturing of control, protection and power quality products. This includes contactors, pilot devices, circuit breakers, fused and non fused disconnect switches, sensors, limit switches, starters, softstarters, cable management system, LV switchgears, Power Factor Correction systems, harmonic filter systems to name a few. The Low Voltage business unit has integrated a new product line in 2001: Entrelec. The Entrelec line consists of terminal blocks, electronic timers & relays, remote I/O, power supplies, etc.

The St-Laurent (Power Electronics) facility offerings include a wide range of excitation systems, synchronizing systems and frequency converters for the North American market as well as on-board converters, power quality and high power converters, rectifiers, PowerIT compact rectifiers for the Canadian market.

ABB Canada also offers a comprehensive range of power transmission and distribution services including field service, shop services, engineering services, reliability assessment, diagnostics, preventive maintenance contracts, equipment audits and commissioning. The Service Centres are located in Burnaby, Edmonton, London, Brampton, Sudbury, Pointe-Claire, Jonquière, Trois-Rivières and Winnipeg.
