UBC Learning

on this botanical campus of winding trails
and sun falling on fauna
the dense of pinewood breathes
cool air and salt water scent

willow branches mimic the casual intensity
of smiling students strolling eagerly
between nondescript buildings
open invitations to learning rooms

inside, anticeptic halls and polished floors
are lined by lockers administered collectively in rows

blue flourescent shadows on gray walls

they lead to vacant rooms occupied
by blank whiteboards and empty chairs
where all the doors are closed
