| NEW BATTERY MONITORING SYSTEM with GROUND FAULT LOCATOR and DIGITAL COMMUNICATION
Pasadena, CA -- Arga Controls is pleased to offer a new, Battery Monitoring System with Ground Fault Locator and Digital Communication. This system is completely independent of the Battery and Charger and can be mounted anywhere along the DC Bus to protect and diagnose the essential DC BUS.
Arga's new Battery Monitor with Ground Fault Locator provides readings for battery volts, "+" to voltage ground and " - " voltage to ground, and ground fault volts. Relay contacts are provide for over and under voltage, open battery, and "+" and "-" of the ground fault. When a ground fault alarm occurs, the ground fault locator operates by tracing current pulses transmitted from the monitor to the ground. The hand held tracer gun makes it easy to locate the ground fault.
Digital and Analog transducer outputs are available. The digital outputs are transmitted over RS232/485 using DNP 3.0 and Modbus protocols. The data consists of the Battery Voltage, Ground Fault Voltage, and "-" to ground. Important Alarms for low and high battery, ground fault and open battery are also digitally transmitted. This can detect critical battery failure. The information can also be used to monitor trend information to create a history file on battery system activities. When used for trend analysis, accurate prediction of failures is implemented.
The Meter is field programmable. LED lights indicate the range being displayed. Removing the front panel, which can be safely done without shutting off the power, accesses all alarms settings, time delay, and reset. Circuitry has been designed so the monitor and locator do not interfere with sensitive electronic equipment.
