SNC said it formed a consortium with Skanska-Chant JV and Sweden's Skanska International Civil Engineering AB to complete the project worth CAN$167 million (US$113 million).
The new plant will expand an existing 150 megawatt hydroelectric plant on the picturesque Kootenay River in southeastern British Columbia, SNC said.
Work will begin in the first quarter of this year and should be finished in 2006, the company said.
