AB PLC Training will assist students in developing and building a solid foundation of Integrated Architecture and automation system knowledge. Students will learn about and interact with a variety of automation hardware. Students will also have an opportunity to use Rockwell Automation software to perform basic system configuration tasks. While performing these tasks, students will gain an understanding of how controllers, drives, motors, networks, and HMI products function together within Integrated Architecture.>/p> This introductory level course will give students a broad understanding of automation products and serve as an excellent first step when beginning any automation training. Who Should Attend The ControlLogix system provides discrete, drives, motion, process, and safety control together with communications and state-of-the-art I/O in a small, cost-competitive package. The system is modular, so you can design, build, and modify it efficiently - with significant savings in training and engineering. Rockwell's current range of large PLCs - very useful when fast processing is required and powerful when used with machine motion systems (which are very simple to configure). They are possibly expensive otherwise compared to the SLC range. The Logix 5550 and now the Logix 5555 have large amounts of memory (at last!) and use a TAG based ladder programming language, which will certainly prove popular with professional programmers, but may not find favour with occassional users....however when used correctly this will greatly aid fault finding and other maintenance. This course is designed to familiarize plant technicians with the functions, architecture and software in use in the ControlLogix PLC platform. Participants will learn basic skills to comfortably interact with the programming software, and to communicate with the PLC processor. Unique features of this systems such as the tagged system of memory addressing will be explained. Participants will learn to use the built in search, monitoring and diagnostic features of the software. Setting and modifications to instructions such as timers counters will also be covered. Topics:
