Milwaukee Resistor Corp will be exhibiting their complete resistor product line at the CONEXPO – CON/AGG 2008 Show in Las Vegas March 11-15 (http://www.conexpoconagg.com) in Booth # S-13037. Stop by to see the new line of "Liquid-Power Compact resistors & Loadbanks". Here are the highlights:
Over the last decade the competition for physical space in electronic and electrical applications has been on the rise. Whether the result of that competition is for smaller cell phones or better use of the limited space on an oil rig at sea, spatial constraints for electrical equipment are continually pushing the design engineer to develop new products to meet the demand for higher power density. Over the last several years our Engineering group has designed and developed a number of high power, liquid cooled resistive applications that are unparalleled in the industry.

Based on the customers electrical requirements, physical space limitations, temperature rise, operating pressure constraints, and cooling media, we have been able to provide resistive load banks that are up to 1/5th the size of an aircooled electrical equivalent. Our knowledge of internal liquid flow patterns and thermal distribution, obtained through the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and real world modeling, has given us the ability to manufacture the smallest enclosure with the best mechanical structure that will allow uniform heating and cooling distribution in our load banks.

Our ability to utilize the basic design criteria as noted above to manufacture prototype units, build production quantities and implement QA testing provides our customers with a custom product that will last for years.
